Loads blastholes and fires powder charges to loosen earth and rock [Blaster (any industry)]. Wedges, nails, or bolts timber or steel retaining structures to prevent cave-ins. May work in caissons. When concerned with erection of breast boards (timber bracing) to shore tunnel heading, may be designated Breast Worker (construction).
