Positions several layers of garment parts on machine bed under needle. Depresses lever that forces needle downward to draw thread through parts, following markings on fabric. Cuts thread between layers of fabric, using scissors, leaving thread through each part to serve as guide for attachment of other parts, such as flaps and pockets.
