Collects samples of materials, such as benzol, coal, coke, sewer water, sulfate, and tar, and prepares them for laboratory analysis: Shovels coal into crusher to grind samples for analysis. Drops weighed sample of coke from drop-door bucket to steelplate, shakes shattered coke through screen of specified mesh and weighs and records weights of large and small sized coke.
