Breaks up manganese and scrap metal to facilitate handling, using sledge and pneumatic hammer. Marks identification numbers on steel billets, using chalk. Verifies dimension of products, using fixed gauge. Wipes grease and oil from machinery with rags and solvent. May be designated Conveyor Feeder (steel & rel.); Crusher Feeder (steel & rel.); Loading Checker (steel & rel.); Marker (steel & rel.); Racker (steel & rel.); Scrap Breaker (steel & rel.).
