Cleans excess lead (fins, flashings, and burs) from parts, using handtools. Stacks acceptable grids and sorts other parts according to type. Shovels pig and scrap lead into melting kettle. Skims dross from molten metal, using ladle. May tally number and type of rejects. May be designated according to part processed as Casting Inspector (elec. equip.); Grid Inspector (elec. equip.); or task performed as Lead-Supply Worker (elec. equip.).
